Summer vacation looks a bit different this year so we're helping you embrace the STAY-cation!

We're all trying to stay closer to home this year and while that might mean your typical summer vacation was canceled, it doesn't mean there's no way to enjoy the summer. So, we've compiled a list of staycation spots within driving distance of Orange Beach. Stay safe and enjoy!

1. Grand Hotel Golf Resort and Spa

Experience a stunning AAA Four Diamond beach resort in Point Clear, Alabama, The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection, an exquisite resort and one of the most stunning hotels the Gulf Coast has to offer. This resort boasts two challenging golf courses as part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, a luxurious 20,000-square-foot European-style spa, 10 tennis courts, a fabulous array of exceptional dining options, and a sizeable marina for sailboats, yachts and fishing boats. Overlooking scenic Mobile Bay, we are a proud member of Historic Hotels of America and boast 37,000 square feet of elegant meeting and event space.

2. Fort Conde Inn

The Fort Conde Inn, Alabama's only 4-star, AAA four-diamond rated boutique hotel and bed and breakfast, is a luxurious facility exuding the style and feel of nineteenth-century Mobile. Requiring two years of meticulous workmanship, the Inn has now been restored to its original Victorian splendor. Built in 1836, the Fort Conde Inn (Hall-Ford House) is Mobile’s second oldest house and its interior and exterior finishes reflect its architectural vintage from original heart pine flooring and custom-milled stairways, moldings, and window and door trim to marble fireplace mantles, plaster walls, 12 foot ceilings and crystal chandeliers. Walking into the Inn today, is like taking a step back in time to when these homes were originally built. The Inn sits on a quiet street in Fort Conde Village surrounded by Victorian homes restored with integrity and respect for their architectural heritage. It is situated adjacent to Fort Conde, a pre-revolutionary war fort built by the French in 1720 and named after the Prince of Conde, a grandson of Luis XIV.

3. The Beach Club Resort & Spa

The Beach Club is a luxury, family-friendly resort for those looking for a fun vacation offering one- to five-bedroom beach view condos and two- to five-bedroom village cottages. All rentals are self-catering and come with a fully equipped kitchen. The spa has four treatment rooms and a full salon to ensure that you are relaxed and looking your best. The Kids Club offers diverse activities such as movies and t-shirt making.

Staying Home Instead?

Luckily there are lots of ways to still enjoy the summer while staying safe.

4. Pensacola, FL

Pensacola is best known for the beautiful beaches that are found all along this northwestern portion of Florida’s expansive coastline.

5. Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort and Spa

An elegant retreat for romantics, Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa is one of the top resorts in Alabama and an easy getaway from the city. The resort offers 259 guest rooms with private balconies and lake views. You can upgrade to a high-level room that boasts scenic views and a private whirlpool. Keep fit on the jogging/walking trails, swim in the pool or workout at the gym. Admire scenic mountain views while you play a game of golf at the Par 72 Ross Bridge golf course.
